Special Education
The Lee County School System provides a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment, to each eligible student. This includes individualized instruction to meet a student’s educational needs in an effort to prepare the student for post-secondary education and/or employment and independent living. A full continuum of special education placement and related service options are available.

The majority of our students participate in the general education setting with the support from special education staff in the form of Co-Teaching and/or Supportive Instruction. Our services range from the least to the most restrictive settings. The areas of exceptionalities include:
