English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Donna Cordle

Mrs. Sechrist

ESOL at Lee County Elementary is very exciting. Our teachers and students always ensure that our new ESOL students feel welcome and comfortable. I work very closely with our classroom teachers to guarantee that our ESOL students become successful English Language Learners. This school year we are looking forward to implementing the Inclusion (Push-In) model for all of our grade levels. I will be going into each grades classroom to provide support, but will also be able to provide individual/small group instruction when needed. I look forward to another great year at Lee County Elementary. If I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me anytime at Sechristla@lee.k12.ga.us.

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) English Program in Lee County School System was developed in compliance with federal mandates to ensure that the Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in the school system are provided with appropriate instructional assistance in acquiring the English language skills necessary for full academic participation in a monolingual English classroom. The major goals for each student are to develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills so they are successful within the classroom setting and the community.
