News and Events
Please join us for our first PTO meeting of this school year on Thursday, September 29th at 5:30 pm. This event will be so exciting. Each grade level will have a singing performance, we will have Bingo for Books, and classrooms will have a literacy activity. We will also provide concessions and live auctions. We are so excited and can't wait to see you at LCES for our Family Fun Night!
Our annual fall fundraiser is under way, and it is Mmm'adness but in a good way! We are mad about selling the most COOKIE DOUGH to earn money for our school. We need your help! You can order from any LCES student or go online to www.forFundsonline.com and enter code 49178. All orders are due on October 12th. Thank you for the support!
Lee County Elementary School prides itself on a family (fami"LEE") atmosphere. With an excellent staff of office employees, custodians, food service employees, and teachers, we are commited to providing the best for our students. Our PTO is a great way to get involved. Parent volunteers help with numerous events throughout the school year such as Family Nights, Book Fairs, Mistletoe Mall, and Field Day.
Our school council is also an important member of our family. We meet four times a year to discuss a variety of school topics. We are looking for two parents representatives. We will send home information about the election process once school has begun. Our partners of excellence, Dental Partners, Dr. Anna Veilands, Dr. Robert Moss, Lawn Barber, Lee Ledger, Renasant Bank, and Stardust Skate Center support or school in many ways as well.
This year Rachel McDowell will be joining our family. We are certainly excited about the addition of this teacher to our already outstanding faculty. Our teacher of the year is Sandra Nall. Mrs. Nall has been teaching math at LCES for seven years. She is an integral part of our school.
We are so excited to have the new Accelerated Reading Program at LCES! This now allows us much more access to AR Quizzes. This is the link to AR Bookfinder. This website shows all the AR books that our students can take a test on. Another important feature of the new AR Program is Home Connect. This website allows parents to view their child's reading progress from home. You will need their username and password.
