We invite all 6-8 grade students to join us for our Open House on Tuesday, August 5th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. We will be collecting proof of residency (July-August electricity bill) during orientation if you choose to bring yours. There will not be a formal meeting as the purpose of the Open House is to allow you and your child to meet his/her teachers and to familiarize your child with their team location within the building. Your child's 2014-15 homeroom teacher and room number was attached to his/her report card at the end of last year. Staff will be available to assist at Open House with this information if needed. In addition, bus information, including pick-up and drop-off times, will be available, and PTO will be conducting a membership drive during Open House. All parents are strongly encouraged to join PTO. Your participation plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the learning experiences of students at LCMSW.
The first day of school is Friday, August 8th. Students are to report to their homeroom by 8:10. At this time your child will receive his/her schedule. The 2014-15 supply list is located in the Parents and Students section of our website.
All students born on or after January 1, 2002 and entering, advancing, or transferring into 7th grade in Georgia need proof of an adolescent pertussis (whooping cough) booster vaccine (called "Tdap") and an adolescent meningococcal vaccination (MCV4).
