Art Attack
Art Attack meets after school. The club is available for students interested in creating advanced artwork to be considered for art competition. Students who are interested in becoming a member of this club must submit an example of their artwork and complete an application. Teacher referrals are also appreciated.Rebecca Gatlin

Beta Club
Open to 7th - 8th graders year long; sixth graders become eligible after first semester of sixth grade year. This is an honor society based on academics, character, democratic values, and leadership. Membership is based upon teacher recommendation.April Smith and Tara Russell
Book Club
The Book Club is open to interested 6th-8th grade students upon recommendation from their reading teacher. Students are placed in smaller groups based on genre interest and read books from within the genre. During the club meetings students discuss their book of choice. Jennifer Hewell and Sherry Exum
Craft Club
The Craft Club is open to 6th - 8th grade students (limited to class size). Members will create craft-type projects such as macramé, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, and origami.Shannon Sutherland
Drama Club
LCMS Drama Club offers students in all grades an opportunity to experience the performing arts in a unique way. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
Open to 6th - 8th graders interested in participating in activities dealing with the various aspects of Family and Consumer Science and leadership skills. Potential members must have already completed or be enrolled in a Family and Consumer Science class. This club encourages personal growth, leadership development, preparation for the future, and family and community involvement through family and consumer sciences education.DeWana Hyde

Fitness Club

Future Business Leaders of America
Open to 6th-8th graders who are interested in going into business related professions. Students work on skills involving keyboarding applications, computer technology, slideshow presentations, and exploration of various careers. Inner Beauty Project
This is a club that will meet some after school and during club times. It is strictly for girls and is a Christian based club that offers life lessons for girls and covers a variety of topics that girls need mentoring in at this age.Courtney Carter

Model United Nations

Sign Language Club: Lee County
The Lee County Sign Language Club’s mission is to develop sign language skills to communicate with Deaf and Hard of Hearing members of our community. The club meets twice each month at Lee County High School, from 3:30- 4:30 PM or 5:00PM. The club is open to everyone associated with the Lee County School System, including all family members of students and system staff! The LCSS Sign Language Club does not have a maximum limit on membership numbers. Please join us this year as we participate in the Homecoming and Christmas Parades, support Lee County DFACS with Christmas present donations, support the troops with donations, host a Christmas party for residents at Lee Healthcare, and host a tri-county luncheon for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Lee, Dougherty, and Worth Counties. Beginning 2012-2013, we will focus on creating signed children’s stories on DVD for the Deaf/HH students in Lee. Additional volunteer opportunities may be included, such as hosting a fun activity for children during the Sheriff’s Special Olympics Fundraiser event in May or other Leesburg events during the year. New members to the club are required to join with a $15 membership fee, which includes a sign language book. Returning members to the club pay only $5.Sherry Benz
Spanish Club:
Open to 6th-8th graders. This club is for serious-minded students who are interested in a more in-depth study of Spanish beyond the basic essentials taught in a connections class. To qualify for membership, students must either possess an elementary knowledge of Spanish or be willing to study and acquire this knowledge. Students must also possess a strong work ethic and be willing to work on assigned projects outside of club time. Mary Dolan

Lee County Family Connect Youth Council
Open to 6th-8th graders. Students must complete an application and be recommended by a teacher or counselor. Students must have potential leadership ability and an expressed interest in community involvement. The Youth Council will inform and motivate others on the needs and issues facing youth in Lee County. Students will have an opportunity to bring about positive change in their school and community through programs, activities and community service.
