Attendance

Attendance is very important. Children should be in school everyday, unless they are sick.

Do not send children to school when they are running a fever, have thrown up, or have diarrhea. Keep them home for 24 hours after the last episode so that you are sure they are well before returning to school.

Tardies and Early dismissals are handled in the office. Students arriving late should be signed in by a parent. The Site director will mark the student in the computer. If a child is to be picked up early, please send a note to the teacher that morning. When possible, medical and dental appointments should be made outside of school hours. Please schedule extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, dancing, etc. after school hours so as not to interfere with your child’s school day. A child will be released only to the parents or individuals identified on the Information/Emergency Card. For the safety of your child, the parent or authorized person must come to the Lee County's Georgia Pre-K office or designated area and sign the child out. A picture ID will be required if the staff does not know the person requesting to check the child out of school.

Children who do not attend on a regular basis, are routinely late, or leave the program early, will be referred to the Resource Coordinator. Children who are late, leave early, or are absent for 10 consecutive days without a medical or other reasonable excuse must be removed from the program.

Morning Drop-off

Enter the car lane at the designated gate on Starksville Ave, drive around to the opening at the “bridge” to let students out. Booster seats should be placed on the right side of the vehicle so that adults on duty can help if needed.

Afternoon Pick-up
