Registering your child is often the first step in a successful academic experience. It involves some time and paperwork. We want to help make the process go smoothly, so please be sure and have all required documents
with you at the time of registration-this will expedite the enrollment process. The Central Registration Office is located in Twin Oaks Elementary School, at 240 Smithville Road North, Leesburg. All new students to the district in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade will need to complete registration through the Registrar's Office prior to going to any of the individual schools.
Kindergarten registration for the upcoming year will be March 22-26 for Kinchafoonee Primary and March 29 -April 2 for Lee County Primary. Registration will be from 8:00-2:00. To register for kindergarten, the student must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 of the registering year. At such time as the registration period is announced in the Lee County Ledger, a phone number for you to call to make an appointment for your child's registration will be included in the notice. All kindergarten registration during these weeks will be by appointment only. The Lee County Pre-K registration dates will be on this site once the date has been set for Pre-K registration.
Only the parent/legal guardian may register a student, and must come into the office in person to complete the registration process. Parents/legal guardians of students enrolling will be asked for a picture ID, and will have to sign an affidavit stating they are legal, legitimate residents of the Lee County School District.
There are a number of documents required
for enrollment in Lee County schools.
The district reserves the right to deny enrollment if it feels that falsification of information has taken place or that the student does not reside at the residence stated in the registration paperwork. A home visit may be made if residency cannot be established to the district's satisfaction. Should the district suspect, or receive information that you do not live where you stated, the district has the right to request further documentation to establish and prove residency.
If you have any questions regarding the registration procedures, please contact the Registrar Office at (229) 903-2248.
