Mrs. Anne Tyler

Welcome to Kinchafoonee Primary School. This is my eighth year as school counselor at KPS. Prior to this position, I taught first grade for fourteen years at KPS. Therefore, I have had the opportunity to develop many relationships with students and their families over the years.

As the school counselor, I work with students, parents, and teachers in many ways through a program of many services. Each service is aimed at helping children learn and develop to their highest potential. Some of the services in the school counseling program are:

  • Individual counseling to address academic, social, and emotional needs of students
  • Small group counseling to address issues such as divorce & family changes, grief & loss, anger management, self-esteem, friendship, and other issues as needed
  • Classroom guidance with an emphasis on recognizing feelings, being empathetic toward others, solving problems, making wise decisions, discriminating between good touches & bad touches, and exploring career clusters in first and second grades.

In addition, I work collaboratively with teachers and parents to maximize student success. I look forward to helping students, families, and teachers have a successful school year. Please let me know how I can be of service to you.
