Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner at Lee County Middle School East. Our counseling department offers a comprehensive guidance program here at LCMS East. We work closely with students, parents, and other personnel. We strive to promote a positive educational atmosphere. We provide the following services: individual counseling, group counseling (i.e. organization, anger, social skills, self esteem), and classroom guidance. We often sit in on parent-teacher conferences and are available to parents.

I am the School Counselor at LCMS East Campus who serves the 7th grade students on Team RISE and all of the 8th grade students. I am married to Duane, and we have two children, Jonathan and Anna. Both are in college now so Duane and I are learning to become empty nesters. My hobbies include watching our son play baseball at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida and watching our daughter dance with the Valdosta State University Red Hots Dance Team. I am an alumni of the University of Georgia and Valdosta State University (GO DAWGS!!!! GO BLAZERS!!!) I have a master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance. I am currently pursuing my specialist degree in School Counseling at Valdosta State University. I enjoy middle school aged students and look forward to spending time with your student this year through individual and group sessions, classroom guidance, and extended learning times. I am the 6th grade (Team Force, Team Jedi, and Team Ignite) counselor and 7th grade (Team EPIC) counselor. I am a graduate of Albany State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and minored in Psychology. I also received my Master’s Degree in School Counseling Education at Albany State University. (Go RAMS!!!!) I completed my Education Specialist Degree in K-12 Professional School Counseling from Fort Valley State University. (Go WILDCATS!!!) I am married and have two children who attend school in Lee County. I am passionate about helping students and families have a positive and successful middle school experience.
