Fall Sports

Football
Open for 8th grade students. Tryouts begin in August and the season lasts through October. Daily after-school practices are required. Games are usually held on Wednesdays at 5:30. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate. Football/Competition Cheerleading*
Open for 6th – 8th grade students. Twenty-four students will be selected during tryouts in February. The entire team will cheer for middle school football and the top sixteen cheerleaders will represent LCMS East for competition cheerleading. Cheerleaders will attend camp during the summer and will have after-school practices. The team’s season ends in December. Competition cheerleaders are required to perform high level skills that include tumbling, stunting, and jumping. Football cheerleaders will be required to have skilled jumps, sharp motions and good voice projection. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate. Coaches: Chelsea Geiger and Amanda Meeks-Howell
Girls Softball
Open to 6th- 8th grade girls. Tryouts are in August and the season lasts through September. Daily after-school practices are required. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate. Coaches: Hannah Hollomon and Danielle Rudd
Cross Country*
Open to 6th-8th grade students. Tryouts begin in August and the season lasts through October. Daily after-school practices are required. Most meets are held on Saturdays and Fun Runs are held on weekdays. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate. Coach: Robert Ellington
Girls Volleyball
Open to all 6th-8th grade students. Tryouts begin the 1st week of August and the season lasts through the end of September. Daily after-school practices are required even during holidays. Conditioning begins in April through May. Summer practices and the Lee County Youth Camp are recommended. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate. Coaches: Marly Eubanks and Jasmine Mitchell

*These sports will have one combined team for both Lee County Middle School East and West Campuses. Students from both schools will be eligible for participation.
