Hello! I have been the Counselor at TLC since 2015. I have been in Education since graduating from the University of Georgia in 1991. Before becoming a Counselor, I was middle school Life Science teacher at Marietta Middle School. After obtaining my counseling degree, I became a counselor for Dade County Schools and Gordon County Schools in NW Georgia. While I enjoyed living in the mountains, Terrell County was where I grew up, and I missed being in the area. So when I had the opportunity to move back home, I jumped on it! I enjoy spending time with my daughter and our English Bulldog “Sugar”, riding my Saddlebred horses that I use to show at the national level for years. I am passionate about the English Bulldog breed and was a former Board Member for Georgia English Bulldog Rescue where I founded and chaired a huge black tie gala in Atlanta that benefits the rescue. I enjoy doing philanthropy work and feel it is important to give back to those in need. I love being a part of the TLC family, and I can’t imagine myself being anywhere else! I enjoy assisting students in overcoming barriers that might affect their learning and education. I think it is important to advocate for all students so they can reach their fullest potential so when they graduate or leave TLC, they will have the resources they need to be productive, confident adults.
