Deanna Henderson

Mrs. Deanna Henderson has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 9 years. They have two wonderful sons, Tucker (angel baby) and Parker (3.5). Mrs. Henderson attends The Church at the Groves and lives in Leesburg, GA. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, crafting, reading and traveling. Deanna inspires her students each day and is inspired to believe her students can change the world through her guidance.

Mrs. Henderson began her teaching career in 2018 after student teaching at Twin Oaks Elementary School.  She student taught in an amazing third grade English Language Arts class and was fortunate to move into the role of third grade ELA teacher at Twin Oaks the following Fall where she has spent the last three years. When she thinks of education she is inspired by Ben Johnson who once said, “Great teachers engineer learning experiences that put students in the driver’s seat and then get out of the way.” Mrs. Henderson has modeled this thought in her classroom empowering her students to lead their way to the future. Mrs. Henderson is a role model in furthering her education where she will finish her specialist degree in the near future and recently completed her virtual teaching endorsement after teaching the last year both virtually and in person.  When asked about why she went into teaching Mrs Henderson replied, “Teaching is a true passion of mine. I have always said that I want to create a safe place where every student who enters feels seen, heard, and loved.”
