Mrs. Donna Ford represents District I on the Board of Education and serves as VIce-Chair. She has served on the Board since 2019. One of the areas she is committed to and passionate about for the Lee County School System is early learning. Her hope for our students is that their reading and math skills would continue to improve and that our early learners would excel in Phonics.

Mrs. Claire Lang represents District II on the Board of Education and serves as Chair. She has served on the Board since 2013. One of the areas she is committed to and passionate about for the Lee County School System is maximizing the opportunities for all students to succeed. She hopes that her decisions help to create the next generation of thinkers and learners.

Dr. Trey Newell, District: III

Dr. Trey Newell represents District III on the Board of Education. He has served on the Board since 2019. One of the areas he is committed to and passionate about for the Lee County School System is to ensure that Lee County families have the same experience that his family had. He transitioned his children to Lee from a private school setting and watched them thrive. The seed for his commitment to public education was planted at that moment and he ran for a position on the Board to continue creating successful environments for students to learn.

Mr. Jamie McDowell represents District IV on the Board of Education. He has served on the Board since 2021. One of the areas he is committed to and passionate about for the Lee County School System is the safety for our students and staff. Safety is an important factor in maintaining an environment for students to receive a quality education. Giving students the tools they need to succeed is also on his priority list.
